My design principles:
- Streamline the design: Although animations and large pictures can be enjoyable to watch, a streamlined design is quick to appear to get your image to the customer. Keep pages relatively small and easy to view and understand.
- Logical Navigation: Help the viewer find what they are looking for with easy navigation tools and logical layouts.
- Emphacize the brand: Keep a consistent "look and feel" throughout the site to show quality and dependability.
- Work with the client: Design with these questions in mind: Who is the target audience? What do you want to do with the site?
What sort of site do you need?
A "Business Card" web page gathers interest from consumers by highlighting your products and services and point them to your e-mail, phone or business address. This is a single Web file available to the world on the Internet. Yarra Glen Automotive, and Stephen Dickinson Fencing are just two businesses who have taken advantage of this economical Internet storefront. A "Single Page Site" allows more fexibility in descriptive text and pictures hightlighting your business and your products and services. This is a single Web file available to the world on the Internet. Yarra Glen Newsagency, Yarra Glen Child Care, and Asian Appetite are just three businesses who have taken advantage of this economical Internet storefront. "Web Page Sets" expand on your contact information with additional details, useful information, and can even be a storefront for Internet sales. The Lesley Dickman, local artist web site shows examplies of her works, details about her background and a contact form for further information. The Heavy Vehicle Certification Services web site is an example of a "Web Page Set" with a "home page", several information pages, enquiry forms, and a new product page link. Abel Trenching is another example of a Web Page Set we designed highlighting their products, endorsements, and a contact page.
